Three Tips for Cruisin’ on the Disney Dream

Posted by Dana

In 90 seconds I share three tips for cruising on the Disney Dream. I cruised this past December with my teen daughter and my mom, and there were a variety of activities for each generation to enjoy.

What I wore:

– For dinners: Jeans, cute black gladiator sandals, short sleeve tops with a light sweater. The last night of the cruise, it is optional to dress up, I wore a maxi dress with the same cute flat sandals. My daughter wore jeans, cute t-shirt and a blazer.

– Day trip into Nassau: Leggings, cotton top, very light sweater that I tied around my waist when I was warm. It was December, and low 80s, I tend to get cold easily and kept the sweater for when we walked into stores. You will most likely do a lot of walking when touring around, so wear comfy shoes.

– Day trip into Castaway Cay: I ran the 5k in the morning, so I had running gear on for the morning. After the race, I went back to the ship and changed into a strapless knee length sun dress with my bathing suit underneath. I packed my shorts and a shirt for a quick change in the island if needed.

#wsatip You can bring your own bottled water on the ship, we brought a pack so we didn’t have to buy overpriced water on the ship or during our day trips.

  • I sailed on the Fantasy last spring and did the 5k on Castaway Cay. So much fun!

    • Monique, my goal is to cruise on all the Disney ships. I’ll look for you if I questions about the Fantasy! I was so impressed with the Dream! As for that 5k, I had a good time running it, but I was surprised by how hot it was at 8 am in December! I struggled the last 15 minutes lol! #caribbeansun
