Who doesn’t love Las Vegas? I’m not a gambler, heavy drinker or a fan of smoky casinos, but it’s something about Vegas that always makes my heart race. To me it’s the ultimate adult play land where there is something for everybody, and if you are visiting Vegas and claim there is nothing to do…go get your temperature checked.
One of my favorite things about Vegas are the hotels. It’s always a competition to outdo the other with the themes, shopping, shows and lobby decor – it’s hotel fabulosity at it’s best! This past week I had my first stay at the Caesars Palace – it was everything I thought it would be – grand, impressive, and over the top with Roman decor. It was a theme lover’s dream – read I loved it.
In true Vegas fashion Caesars is home to the best shows in all of Casino land…Elton John, Celine Dion and Rod Stewart. Janet, Ms. Jackson if you’re nasty, will be headlining a show on November 26th. Tip – if you hang around the front bar long enough off of the lobby you may bump into Rod Stewart who was enjoying the Wednesday mid-day bar action just like everyone else.
We stayed in the Palace Tower and had an extremely spacious and modern room. The bathroom was equally as big with a jacuzzi bathtub, glass shower and double sinks. There was plenty of room to fit two people comfortably. Since this was my first time at Caesars I’m at a disadvantage and can’t recommend any other towers outside of the Palace. As you can see below, we definitely had a room with a view as Caesars backside was what we woke up to every morning, and just below him were wonderful looks of the pool area.
Is It For You? This hotel is for you if:
You love shopping! Attention all shoppers and window shoppers, you must not miss the The Shops at the Forum, it’s incredible. There’s everything from your luxury stores like Gucci, La Perla, Escada to your trendy everyday mall stores like H&M and Express. The cool thing about walking around the mall is you’ll find specialty shops that bring in celebs for autograph signings. For example, we saw Pete Rose and Dick Butkus who were in two different stores to sign autographs (for a fee of course!).
You like to be in the middle of it all. Just steps outside of Caesars, you’ll find yourself in another gorgeous hotel, the Bellagio, where there is equal opportunity shopping there as well (plus a gorgeous lobby display which the Bellagio is known for). The Caesars as far as I could tell was pretty central or at least convenient to other hotels on the strip.
You like limoncello. I hadn’t had a taste of limoncello since a visit to Naples four years ago. We stopped at Trevi, a restaurant inside the Forum shops, and braved a glass of their limoncello – it was just as I remembered…tart and sweet at the same time and strong! A dash of that along with the tasty Risotto Cakes made for an interesting afternoon!
You like a great breakfast. Eat at Central, a restaurant right off the lobby and you won’t be disappointed. The chicken and waffles are crazy delicious!
Yay or Nay – Would you consider staying at this hotel?
