If you are traveling by train in or out of the city, the Prague Hilton Old Town is located less than one block from Praha Masarykova nadrazi. When traversing the city, the hotel is located next to the Namesti Republiky metro station served by the B line. The subway system is efficient, clean, and safe. Since taxis are notorious for ripping tourists off in Prague and the hotel car to the airport is quite expensive, we were pleasantly surprised that there was a van pickup for transportation to the international airport about twenty feet from the hotel entrance (in front of the Czech Airlines/CSA headquarters); the van runs every 30 minutes to the airport for about 120czk per person ($6-7) and no reservation is required.
I immensely enjoyed the service I received at this property. I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties and never have I been treated so wonderfully. The staff truly felt that their job was to make your stay as welcoming as possible. Splurge for the executive level rooms; nuts, cheese, olives, and bottled water were delivered to my room one day and chocolate cake the next.
The staff in the executive lounge work hard to ensure your stay is exceptional. The executive lounge serves breakfast in the morning, tea time snacks in the afternoon, and hot appetizers in the evening. The lounge had a variety of snacks and water/soda/beer available all day with a full self-service bar available in the evening with wine and liquor.
Is It For You? This hotel is for you if:
- You are in the touristy mode. I’m going to venture to say this hotel is great for you. The location was great to all the tourist areas we wanted to visit!
- You love exceptional service. Again, the hotel staff went over and beyond to accommodate us. I’ve stayed in many hotels specifically in many Hiltons and this was the best service I’ve ever received.
